Who we are
Sanyro is an expense tracking app for shared spending and personal tracking. We are based in Canada. You can reach us at support@sanyro.com.
What we collect
Information you provide
- Waitlist: email address and any optional survey responses you submit through the waitlist form.
- Account/profile: name, email, phone number (if you choose to add it), home currency, country, language, and profile photo (if provided).
- Spaces and expense data: Space names, members/invites, expenses, splits, categories, notes, and activity history.
- Receipts and attachments: images and PDFs you scan or upload, plus any expense details you enter or confirm.
- Receipt inbox (forwarding): emails and attachments you choose to forward into a Space receipt inbox.
- Contacts (optional): if you enable contact sync, we use your contacts to help you find friends already using Sanyro and make invites easier. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app data: device type, app version, OS version, and crash/diagnostic information.
- Usage analytics: interactions with the product to help us understand what is working and what needs improvement.
- Notifications: information needed to send you push notifications (if you enable notifications) so we can deliver updates you’ve opted into.
- Website analytics: basic site traffic and performance information.
How we use your information
- To provide and operate Sanyro (create Spaces, calculate splits, track balances, store receipts, generate reports/summaries, and support exports/imports).
- To process receipts you submit (scan/upload or forwarding into a Space receipt inbox) and help you turn them into expenses you can review.
- To communicate with you (account messages, service updates, waitlist/product updates if you signed up).
- To improve reliability and product quality.
- To prevent abuse and keep Spaces safe (for example, protecting account access and keeping receipt inboxes focused on receipts/invoices).
Email receipt inbox privacy (important)
Sanyro does not require full mail access. The Space receipt inbox works by forwarding: you choose what to send. Forwarded receipt emails are stored in the Space and can be viewed by Space members.
Analytics
We use analytics to understand feature usage and improve Sanyro. We do not use advertising analytics, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run Sanyro:
- With your Space members: Space data (expenses, receipts, balances, and reports) is visible to members of that Space.
- Service providers: companies that help us provide infrastructure and features such as authentication, hosting, analytics, receipt handling, email delivery, and push notifications.
- Legal and safety: if required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect users and the service.
We do not sell personal information.
Data retention
We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@sanyro.com. Some data may remain in backups for a limited time.
Your choices and rights
- Access, export, or delete your data by contacting support@sanyro.com.
- Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link (waitlist/product updates).
- Control contact sync and notification permissions via your device settings.
Cookies
The landing page uses minimal cookies/technologies for analytics and performance measurement. The web experience may use session cookies for authentication. See Cookies for details.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify users before the changes take effect.
